Strawberry Tall Cake





This cake is many things. 'Short' is not one of those.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups white sugar
1 cup butter
4 eggs
4 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups flour
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
1 tub Cool Whip or similar
1 pkg fresh strawberries

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease two 9-inch pans with crisco.

Heat butter in microwave 2 minutes. Stir in sugar, then add the eggs one at a time followed by the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder in another bowl, then add to the main mixture and stir well. Finally pour in the milk and stir until evenly mixed. Pour batter into pans and bake 35 minutes. Cool.

Cut the strawberries into quarters.

Put the cakes on plates, flat side down. Cover the tops in whipped topping. On one, press some strawberries into the whipped cream. Turn the other upside-down on top of it and ice with the rest of the cream. Cover the top and sides in as many strawberries as will fit. Refridgerate until serving.
