Jellybean Sugar Cookies

cute, colourful, and delicious!

I actually gave some of these to Morena Baccarin and Christina Hendricks at a con, and they liked them. So these cookies are officially Inara-and-Saffron-approved!

INGREDIENTS

2 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 pkgs Jelly Belly jellybeans

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. In a different bowl, put the butter in the microwave for about a minute. When it's nice and soft, stir in the sugar. Add the egg and the vanilla, then mix in the dry stuff, half at a time. Scoop out teaspoonsful, roll them into balls, and put them on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake ten minutes. When you pull them out, immediately press 3 jellybeans into the surface of each cookie. Let them sit a couple of minutes to harden, then move them onto the cooling rack.

Serve warm, with cold milk.
